This single composition spanning a duration of just over thirty-one minutes is perhaps the most ambitious piece of musical work from Todd Stapleton since his 2017 debut, Requiem For A Dying Sea. Composed and executed with electronics, synthesizers, sampler and piano, I Am Haunted By The Lonely Remnants Of Things I Miss is a minimalistic sonic landscape exploring silence and space, while creating a dynamically varied body of work that permeates the aural senses. The piece transitions over time as moments of compositional depth tie in with the development of segments of pure harmonic stasis.
